Fill W-9 in 10 seconds — free, no signup
A W-9 is what your clients ask you to fill out so they can 1099 you at year-end. It's literally a single page with five fields you fill out the same way every single time. AttachKit fills it once.
Who needs it: Freelancers, contractors, consultants, anyone who gets a 1099. Sole proprietors, single-member LLCs, S-corps, C-corps — all use the W-9.

- Send to your client via email without ever printing.
- Your TIN stays in your browser's localStorage and never syncs to our servers — even when you're signed in — so it's never indexed, sold, or shared.

W-9 questions, answered
General information, not legal or tax advice
This page is general information about a commonly-used tax form. Tax law is complex and fact-specific — for advice on your return, consult a CPA, enrolled agent, or tax attorney. AttachKit fills the PDF; the IRS holds you responsible for what's on it.
- What if I'm a single-member LLC?
- A single-member LLC that's a 'disregarded entity' puts the OWNER's name on line 1 and checks the 'Individual/sole proprietor or single-member LLC' box. For the TIN, the W-9 instructions accept either the owner's SSN or EIN; an LLC taxed as a C- or S-corp instead uses its own EIN and the matching box. This isn't tax advice — check the current W-9 instructions or a tax pro if you're unsure.
- Can I sign it in AttachKit?
- Yes — fill via /fill/w-9, then click 'Sign' in the menu to add your signature on the same PDF.
- Is it safe to put my SSN in my AttachKit profile?
- Your SSN stays in your browser's localStorage and never syncs to our servers — even when you're signed in (your name + address do sync; your SSN never does). AttachKit fills the SSN box on-device, so it isn't sent to any third-party AI at all.
