Unlock a password-protected PDF
Have the password but want to remove it? Drop the PDF, enter the password, and download an unlocked copy. It all happens in your browser — the file and password never leave your device.
- 100% local. The password and PDF stay in this browser.
- Then use it anywhere. Fill, sign, or redact the unlocked copy.
Remove a PDF password, in your browser
Unlock a password-protected PDF you can already open — type the password once, download a copy with no password. Nothing is uploaded.
Nothing is uploaded
The whole thing runs in your browser — open your network tab and watch: your file never leaves your device. Most online tools round-trip your document through their servers.
Removes the password you know
Enter the PDF's open password and AttachKit saves an unlocked copy. It's not a password cracker — you need the password the file already has; it just lifts it so you don't have to type it every time.
Keeps text when it can
AttachKit re-saves the decrypted PDF losslessly, so text stays selectable. If a clean re-save isn't possible it falls back to flattened page images — still viewable and printable, and you can run OCR to make it searchable again.
