Is adding page numbers free?

What is Bates numbering?

A sequential identifier — often a prefix plus a number, like ABC-000123 — stamped on every page of a legal or discovery document set so each page can be referenced uniquely.

Are my PDFs uploaded to add page numbers?

No. The numbers are stamped on your device — your file is never uploaded or stored on a server.

Where do the page numbers appear?

Along the bottom of each page. You set the starting number and, for Bates, a prefix before exporting.
